Schofield Barracks, Hawaii--On Dec. 16, the Schofield Barracks Youth Center teamed up with the Scouts of America and the group known as “Wreaths Across America,” as they execute their annual time honor tradition at the Schofield Barracks Cemetery. Beginning in the early morning hours at dawn, the Scouts placed hundreds of memorial wreaths at gravesites at the Schofield Barracks Cemetery. An official ceremony was held once all the wreaths were placed. The Schofield Barracks Youth Center, Scouts and Wreaths Across America do this each year to instill their three themes in the younger generation: Remember, Honor and Teach. “Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the value of freedom”.
