Beneficiaries at Reynolds Army Health Clinic (RAHC) now have another option to pick up their prescription refills. Reynolds commander Col. Jason Ferguson was on hand Tuesday, Dec. 12 with pharmacy and Clinic leadership to cut the ribbon on the new ScriptCenter kiosk that was recently installed in the outer lobby of the RAHC Urgent Care Clinic.

“I’m happy to be able to officially open our ScriptCenter today,” said Reynolds pharmacy chief Dr. Matthew Desmarais. “We had a soft opening earlier this month and the response from our pharmacy patients has been overwhelmingly positive.”

When pharmacy customers call in their refills, they now have the option to pick them up at the ScriptCenter kiosk after two business days.

“We chose the UCC lobby for the kiosk because it allows our Beneficiaries to pick up their prescriptions outside of our usual pharmacy and Pharmissary (the refill pharmacy adjacent to the Fort Sill Commissary) hours of operation,” said Dr. Desmarais. “Currently the kiosk is open the same hours as our Urgent Care Clinic, seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, we soon hope to have the kiosk available 24/7.”

When pharmacy customers chose to pick up their refill at the ScriptCenter they will scan their DOD ID card and then enter a four digit PIN number. “When you use ScriptCenter for the first time it will prompt you to create a PIN that you will use for future visits,” Dr. Desmarais said. “We have small, medium, and large lockers for all sizes and shapes of prescriptions that will be available for pick up even after the main pharmacy closes at 4:45p.m. Additionally, in 2024 we will be upgrading our computer systems that will enable customers to receive a text message as soon as their prescription is loaded into ScriptCenter.” Dr. Desmarais also stated that ScriptCenter is for refills only and new prescriptions are only available at the RAHC main pharmacy, additionally ScriptCenter cannot house refrigerated or controlled prescriptions which will still need to be processed through the Pharmissary for refills or the main pharmacy for new prescriptions.

As soon as the ribbon was cut Col. Ferguson was the first official customer for the kiosk, quickly scanning his ID card, setting up a PIN, and retrieving his refill prescription from the small locker directly above the touch screen.

“I want to thank Dr. Desmarais and his staff for working so hard the last several months to overcome the logistical and technical hurdles to make this kiosk a reality for the Beneficiaries of Reynolds,” said Col. Ferguson. “The pharmacy team is a strong team that touches nearly every patient that comes through Reynolds, and I am excited that they can offer ScriptCenter to improve out patient satisfaction throughout the facility.”

The ScriptCenter kiosk is not the only recent addition to the pharmacy. In August the pharmacy launched Q-Anywhere which allows pharmacy customers to bypass the check in process and activate their new prescriptions by text message. “Between Q-Anywhere for new prescriptions and ScriptCenter for refills, as well the main pharmacy and the Pharmissary, Reynolds patients now have many choices that can meet their needs and schedules for medications, which will help to reduce wait times for everyone,” said Dr. Desmarais.

To use the new ScriptCenter call the RAHC Pharmacy refill line at 580-558-2442 or you can activate a new prescription with Q-Anywhere by texting “Get in line” to 855-812-6070.
