FORT BENNING, GA - Technicians with Windjammer Cable, including the company\'s top regional engineer, arrived on post Tuesday to assess the amplifiers on Fort Benning that control the signal quality received on the installation. Over the next two months, the company will upgrade the 10th Mountain Division Road facility that receives and transmits signal to improve power stability and troubleshoot other active devices around post. "That should help all services, whether it be Internet, video or phone.

Everybody should start noticing a big difference," said Jim Bennett, regional general manager for Windjammer Cable. "What we'll end up doing when it's all said and done is we'll have gone through the entire system. If anything is not working the way it should, we'll be able to identify that in this process and repair it," he said. "It's a priority. We want to provide the best possible service we can, take care of the customers we have and hopefully gain new end of October. Customers with questions or concerns can stop by the new customer service office, at 9230 Marne Road, next to the commissary. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
