FORT KNOX, Ky. — Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers has a lot planned for the holidays.
The Fort Knox BOSS program has a diverse lineup of events that is sure to get Soldiers in the spirit, including a zoo trip, community service at the on-post First Lights Festival & Tree Lighting Ceremony and helping out at Feeding America.
Sergeant Kendall White, BOSS president, said the group has already done a lot in the month of November, including a “Friends Giving” recreation and leisure event and a Nov. 8 Veterans Day visit to Robley Lex VA Medical Center in Louisville.
“During our Veterans Day visit we passed out over 100+ Veterans Day Cards and pins,” said White.
For the rest of the month into December, the group will participate in the following events:
Nov. 17 – BOSS Zoo Trip for recreation and leisure
Dec. 6 – BOSS meeting
Dec. 7 – First Lights Festival & Tree Lighting Ceremony, community service
Dec. 9 – Paws for BOSS, community service
Dec. 14 – Feeding America, community service
Dec. 14 – Canvas Creations, recreation and leisure
Dec. 16 – Wreath laying ceremony at Fort Knox Post Cemetery, community service
