Alaska Soldiers learn to play safe in the Last Frontier

Sgt. Steven Pritchett, HHC, 17th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, instructs Soldiers on how to safely build a campfire Sept. 3 during the battalion's Safety Awareness Day at Fort Richardson's Pershing Field. The Soldiers received training on fire, outdoor recreation, cold weather, camping and hunting safety in an effort to make them more aware during off-duty experiences that could pose a risk to their wellbeing.
