Good morning, Team CECOM –

Yesterday I had the opportunity to sit down with leadership from across CECOM and discuss best practices and areas where we can improve. These types of forums are so valuable because it allows us to synchronize and self-reflect to prepare the Army of 2030. The feedback around what we Do juxtaposed to what we’re For allows us to have a shared understanding of our implied capabilities, ultimately aligning CECOM to Army and AMC objectives now and in the future.

Today we’ll wrap up the 2023 C5ISR-M Readiness Summit here at APG. It’s been a great forum for our command to discuss modernizing readiness in support of the warfighter, while having invaluable face-to-face engagements with C5ISR-M influencers. I look forward to sharing more of the biggest takeaways and lessons learned from these significant engagements.

As a reminder, the AcqDemo contribution plan deadline is quickly approaching. Please ensure you have your FY24 plans in NLT 30 OCT and consider getting an early start on your FY24 mandatory training.

Lastly, I had the chance to attend a recent local homecoming game where I spent some valuable time speaking with prospective recruits and sharing my experiences as a Soldier. I encourage you to also take any opportunity to connect with your local community and share your Army story. We are all ambassadors for our Army, whether in uniform or as a civilian. Recruiting the next generation of Soldiers and leaders is of vital importance to the Army.

To all our teammates worldwide, thank you for everything you do.

This We’ll Defend!

Sincerely,

MG Edmonson
