SATMO trains Vanuatu partners on humanitarian assistance

Security Assistance Training Management Organization's Mobile Training Team Vanuatu conducted Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief instruction with academic and hands-on training. The focus is to improve the skills and capabilities for the Vanuatu Mobile Force when responding to natural disasters, which are prevalent in that region of the world. SATMO is a subordinate organization to the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command and deploys U.S.-based teams to execute security assistance missions outside the continental United States. SATMO has successfully deployed training and advisory teams to every geographic combatant command, hence the motto "Training the World, One Soldier at a Time." Their mission is vital to achieving U.S. national security objectives and stability in key locations throughout the world.
