Redstone family housing was ranked No. 1 for the second consecutive year among 44 installations across the U.S. in the Army’s fiscal 2023 Tenant Satisfaction Survey.

“We scored outstanding in 11 of the 12” categories in the survey, Brittany Morrison, community director of Redstone family housing, said. “We scored very good in the remaining one.”

Previously, Redstone housing scored outstanding in 10 of the 12 categories.

“We increased in score in 10 of the 12,” she said, and “the two with lower scores remained in the outstanding category.”

The quality of maintenance services category showed the largest increase of 3.3 points, according to Morrison.

“I’m truly proud of our team,” Morrison said, adding that the housing staff is concerned about the residents. She credited “communication and customer service” for the continued high ranks.

“I’m really excited to see the opportunities next year as we have some projects coming down the pipeline,” Morrison said. Replacement of HVAC units, pipes and roofs and the removal of trees are projects that are currently in the Army approval process.

Redstone housing’s overall score was 89.2, an .8 increase over the previous survey, with the property score reaching 85.4, a 1.0 increase over the last year.

The service score was 91.6, a 1.2 increase over the previous year.

Redstone family housing is managed by Hunt Military Communities, the largest privatized military housing owner. Redstone properties include 353 homes, a mix of duplexes/townhomes and single-family homes, and 349 of those were occupied as of Oct. 4, Morrison said.

An online link for the Army Housing Tenant Satisfaction Survey was emailed late last year from CEL & Associates Inc., an independent, third-party company, to tenants living in privatized, government-owned and government-leased housing on Army installations around the world. Survey results will guide plans for improvements to housing, resident services and community amenities.
