Lt. Col. (Ret.) Reginald R. Reeves was born in the 1930 in Greensboro, North Carolina. He attended James B. Dudley High School and graduated in 1943. He then attended North Carolina A&T State University and was part of the Aggie Battalion’s first commissioning class in 1947.

Reeves served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 25 years and retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1972.

Since retiring, Reeves continues to serve our military personnel. He initiated a Military Medicine Program assisting disabled and other military retirees, spouses, and widows, in having thousands of prescriptions filled, when unable to travel long distances to a military hospital.

He received his law degree from the University of Idaho in 1952 and provides Pro Bono Legal Services to Veterans, amounting to over 180 hours annually. In 2005, he provided personal care products to deployed National Guard troops amounting to more than $53,000 in value. He collected medical and dental equipment in addition to other supplies for shipment to third world countries and provided hundreds of computers for schools in Guatemala. When informed of a great need in Vietnam, he gathered and shipped over $1,550,000.00 worth of hospital equipment and supplies to a hospital at Cao Bang, Vietnam.

Reeves has also donated approximately 265 units (more than 33 gallons) of blood, through the Red Cross.

About the Army ROTC Hall of Fame

The ROTC Hall of Fame was established in 2016 as part of the ROTC Centennial celebration. The first class (2016) inducted 326 former ROTC Cadets who had distinguished themselves in their military or civilian career.

The Hall of Fame honors graduates of the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps who have distinguished themselves in military or civilian pursuits. It provides a prestigious and tangible means of recognizing and honoring Army ROTC Alumni who have made lasting, significant contributions to the Nation, the Army and the history and traditions of the Army ROTC Program.
