CAMP DARBY, Pisa - Col. Scott Horrigan, U.S. Army Garrison Italy Commander, made his first to Darby Military Community to perform an official visit and to meet the local workforce and families.

This was a return visit to Darby for Horrigan, but his first visit in his new role as Garrison Commander. Horrigan placed a strong emphasis on personnel issues and was keen to stress how important it was for him to meet with the Darby community on a regular basis.

“My intent is to come to Darby often; I want to be involved in this community as much as I can,” said Horrigan.

During his visit, Horrigan spent some time with the CR2C representative at Darby, expressing his desire to find new and accurate ways of providing information to families and again showing a deep interest in the Darby community and its families. In light of this, he also spent some time at the Child Development Center to collect information on school-age services available in the community. Additionally, Horrigan met with parents of high-school-aged children at Camp Darby, to discuss plans for the upcoming school year.
