Saudi-U.S. personnel gather to build shared understanding of foreign military sales cases

Ministry of National Guard (MNG) and Office of the Program Manager-Saudi Arabian National Guard (OPM-SANG) personnel completed week one of the semi-annual Program Management Review (PMR) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The PMR brings teammates together from around the world to build a shared understanding of cost, schedule, performance, and effects of MNG Foreign Military Sales cases, supporting MNG strategic initiatives in aviation, military education, ground support, and construction.

This week included Acquisitions Training, Industry Demonstrations and a social event. In attendance were Saudi representatives and U.S. leadership, including Maj. Gen. Thomas D. Crimmins, Senior Defense Official Defense Attaché (SDO-DAT); Maj. Gen. Henry S. Dixon, Deputy Commander General (DCG) of U.S. Army Central (USARCENT); and Brig. Gen. Brad Nicholson, Commanding General (CG) of the United States Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC).

OPM-SANG Program Manager Col. Michael J. Trotter said, "the PMR provides an opportunity for MNG and OPM-SANG to reflect on our great accomplishments over our 50-year partnership and deepen the relationships between our teams that will yield greater accomplishments in our future."

Strong relationships, a shared understanding, and a collaborative process have been the bedrock of the 50-year partnership and the foundation for OPM-SANG mission's of providing expert advice and assistance to MNG as it transforms to meet the objectives of Vision 2030. The PMR concludes July 27, 2023.
