77th anniversary of the Festa della Repubblica

The Southern European Task Force – Africa Commander, Maj. Gen. Todd R. Wasmund, SETAF-AF SENITOF Col. Michele Biasiutti and Italian base commander Col. Michele Amendolagine participated in a ceremony today marking the 77th anniversary of the Festa della Repubblica (Republic Day). Hosted by the Prefect of Vicenza Salvatore Caccamo at Piazza Matteotti, the event brought together local civic and military leaders, as well as many local citizens, to celebrate June 2, 1946, the day when Italians voted to abolish the monarchy.
