JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, New Jersey (May 30, 2023) – Officials from Army Contracting Command-New Jersey conducted a recruitment drive to attract new employees, promote the mission of ACC and increase awareness of the Army’s acquisition and procurement processes May 19 through 23 during the Power of the Pines Air and Space Open House here.
ACC-New Jersey officials displayed inert static models of some of the weapons systems procured by the organization that drew large crowds from the community in attendance of the open house.
The weapons displayed by ACC-New Jersey were in coordination with its mission partners Joint Program Executive Office Armaments and Ammunition, Program Manager Close Combat Systems and Program Executive Office Soldier, and Program Manager Soldier Lethality.
“I think all of us from ACC-New Jersey that were at Power of the Pines and supported the recruiting effort were excited to interface with the community in a way we are not often able to and explain the mission of ACC-New Jersey and the key role we play in enabling the readiness and modernization of the Army,” said Thomas Dougherty, the ACC-New Jersey executive director. “I am hopeful that the engagements we had generate interest in joining our team.”
In an effort to be an employer of choice and increase awareness of ACC’s mission, ACC-New Jersey officials identified the need to remain relevant within the local community.
