The Army Contracting Command and the Expeditionary Contracting Command recently earned the Best of AKO 2009 Silver Awards for their AKO portal pages.
The commands have been recognized for outstanding innovation and creativity regarding Web content and graphics. These portal pages were established in the past six months and reflect the command's priority focus on leveraging technology to outreach for conducting daily business operations.

AKO presented this award in light of the innovation and creativity of our web content and graphics," said Gino Magnifico, ACC Office of the Chief of Information. "It's important to note that these awards represent a testament to our content owners and content managers' dedication and innovation. They consistently displayed exceptional attention to maximizing the usage of the full range of Army Knowledge Online tools."
"These awards are significant, especially since our efforts span only a six-month timeframe in which the command's focus has been to actively leverage technology to increase effectiveness of business operations," said Magnifico.
