A Turkish Defense Attaché delegation, led by (right) Turkey's Brig. Gen. Hakan Çanli, visited the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC) April 5, 2023 at New Cumberland, Pennsylvania to meet with the EUCOM/AFRICOM Regional Operations Directorate, hosted by (left) USASAC's David Cooper. Cooper and his team briefed the Attaché on the USASAC mission, provided an overview of the Turkish foreign military sales (FMS) portfolio, and reviewed the status of an ongoing action in an FMS case. USASAC develops and manages security assistance programs and foreign military sales cases in support of U.S. foreign policy and Army security assistance missions. These missions build partner capacity, support Combatant Command engagement strategies and strengthen U.S. Global partnerships.
