The monthly Fort Knox retirement ceremony will be Friday, March 31 at 3 p.m. in Waybur Theater and hosted by the commanding general of 84th Training Command, Maj. Gen. Edward Merrigan Jr., and the senior enlisted advisor, Command Sgt. Maj. Scott Hinton.

The public is invited, and the event will also be live streamed on Fort Knox Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/711144687262381 (Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Firefox web browsers recommended).

The following retirees will be honored during the ceremony:

  • Col. Jerry Tolbert, from 84th Training Command, with 20 years of service
  • Col. Timothy Zajac, from U.S. Army Human Resources Command, with 30 years of service
  • Lt. Col. Gabriel Downey II, from V Corps, with 24 years of service
  • Chaplain (Lt. Col.) David Sifferd, from Medical Recruiting Brigade, with 32 years of service
  • Maj. Paula Schemmel-Moyer, from U.S. Army Cadet Command, with 25 years of service
  • Chief Warrant Officer 4 Myaish Monroe, from 1st Theater Sustainment Command, with 28 years of service
  • Command Sgt. Maj. Mark Wokasch, from V Corps, with 30 years of service
  • Master Sgt. Jason Barrett, from U.S. Army Human Resources Command, with 20 years of service
  • Master Sgt. Tiffany Hardenstine, from U.S. Army Human Resources Command, with 21 years of service
  • Sgt. 1st Class Christopher Jones, from Marketing and Engagement Brigade, with 20 years of service
  • Sgt. 1st Class Rodrigo Valdivia, from U.S. Army Human Resources Command, with 20 years of service
  • Sgt. 1st Class Christopher Knerr, from U.S. Army Cadet Command, with 16 years of service
