“On behalf of the command team, it is a privilege to be back here in person with all of you today after several years of not having this event in person. We are here to honor those who have passed before us,” said Mitchell. “As we conduct the 34th annual Bataan Memorial Death March marathon tomorrow we will be remembering their sacrifices along with your sacrifices. Thank you for sharing your stories with us today, we will carry them with us tomorrow during the race.”
