FORT KNOX, Ky. – Leaders at Fort Knox are asking community members to wear teal every Tuesday during the month of April as a pledge of support for sexual assault prevention.
Each year for Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, Army Sexual Assault Response Coordinators urge Soldiers, Family members and civilian employees to don teal attire – the color associated with sexual assault awareness.
Throughout April, tables will be set up at the Fort Knox Main Exchange every Tuesday near the main entrance where people can sign pledges to be hung on the SAAPM display. The pledges will serve as a reminder of this year’s theme: “Intervene, we are a team.”
