JOINT MULTINATIONAL READINESS CENTER, Germany – A former member of the U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria safety team at Hohenfels, Germany received recognition March 2, 2023 for his service at the garrison from 2019 to 2022 as he transitioned into a new position with the Joint Multinational Readiness Center.

Zachary Harmon, who recently took a position with JMRC as their safety specialist, received the Civilian Service Achievement Medal, from Patrick Rothbauer, Hohenfels deputy garrison manager, during a ceremony at the Hohenfels garrison headquarters.

Harmon’s knowledge of the garrison, of the supported unit safety offices and safety processes and his customer service improved the effectiveness of the garrison’s safety program, according to the medal citation.

“I felt welcomed, I felt loved,” said Harmon. “This community is awesome; I love pouring myself into this community as much as I can and helping out where I can.”

Harmon is happy that he will continue his career at Hohenfels.

“I do appreciate the opportunity that I was given to come here,” said Harmon. “I’m grateful for the opportunity that I am still able to stay here and yet still support the mission at Hohenfels.”
