The Secretary of the Army Energy and Water Management Awards Program, established in 1979, recognizes installations, small groups, and individuals who make significant achievements in energy and water management in support of Army readiness. By acknowledging and promoting these individuals and teams for their hard-to-achieve accomplishments, we are advancing the Army’s energy, water and climate resilience and improving Army readiness on our installations. Hon. Jacobson and Brig. Gen. Ricciardi presented the awards to and congratulated the 27 outstanding honorees or their representatives for their many accomplishments.

The FEMP Federal Energy and Water Management Awards recognize individuals and organizations for significant contributions to energy and water efficiency within the federal government. The awards honor federal employees who have developed and implemented exemplary, cost-effective energy and water projects and programs that cut waste and advance America’s progress toward energy and water independence, resilience, and security, while also advancing federal agency missions. Both the 2021 and 2022 award winners were honored during the ceremony at Energy Exchange with Senior Leaders from Department of Defense, the Services, Department of Energy - FEMP and other organizations. Hon. Jacobson and Brig. Gen. Ricciardi presented the FEMP awards to eight Army team members during the event.
