REDSTONE ARESENAL, AL – More than 150 senior leaders from across the Army Contracting Command enterprise participated in the command’s senior leader forum Oct. 24-27 here.

The four-day event featured guest speakers from Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology) and members of the Army Contracting Command staff with topics focused on people, readiness, modernization, and reform and accountability.

On the first day of the forum, Brig. Gen Christine Beeler, the ACC commanding general, challenged the enterprise to start envisioning what Army contracting will look like supporting the Army of 2030.

“We need to become an agile force,” said Beeler. “We need to think through and plan for what is needed and have oversight on what is happening in the operational space.”

Beeler called upon leaders to use this as an opportunity to look toward organizational growth and design.

The commanding general of Army Materiel Command spoke to the participants of the ACC Senior Leader Forum to thank them for their efforts in delivering the power of Army contracting to help the Army win.

“You are the unsung heroes,” said Gen. Edward M. Daly. “You are in the trenches every single day enabling everything across the Army. Contracting is fundamental to everything we do. There is an energy in (ACC) that makes so much possible. All your hard work is noticed.”
