Fort Knox community enjoys trick-or-treating, great weather during Halloween 2022

FORT KNOX, Ky. – A sea of ghosts and ghouls, pirates and princesses, and the occasional creepy clown walked the streets of Fort Knox Halloween night for an evening of whimsical trick-or-treating.

In keeping with tradition, many residents of the historic district on post transformed the outside of their homes Oct. 31 into storybook settings and spooky scenes for the hundreds of Families on the hunt for delicious goodies.

Many of the installation’s Soldiers handed out candy to trick-or-treaters, to include Commanding General of U.S. Army Recruiting Command and Fort Knox Maj. Gen. Johnny Davis.

Rain earlier in the day caused some weather concerns; however, the evening cleared up and combined with mild temperatures, making for a perfect night for outdoor holiday festivities.

In addition to the many decorated houses, Fire Station 1 was also decked out in creepy décor and provided plenty of fog as costumed kids collected candy.
