It’s an honor to bring you the latest and greatest around CECOM again this week!
Congratulations are in order for some of our teammates who were recently selected for promotion. CW4 (P) William “Bill” DeLong, an electronic systems maintenance technician with the ILSC, was selected for CW5, and CW2 (P) Todd Alspaugh, the senior information protection technician for SEC, was selected for CW3. I also had the wonderful opportunity to attend the frocking ceremony for COL Joel Feltz, our G3/5. These advancements are incredibly well-deserved, and our Army is lucky to have these dedicated Soldiers in our ranks.
As a reminder, Federal Benefits Open Season is right around the corner from 7 November to 12 December. This is the one time every year when DoD members and dependents have the opportunity to enroll, change, or cancel enrollment in the following three programs: Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program; Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP); and the Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Program. Lastly, as the Army continues its transition to M365, all individual user personal data stored on local NEC shared drives (U: Drive) will need to migrate to OneDrive, NLT 21 December 2022. Once migrated, users can immediately begin enjoying a myriad of storage enhancements, most notably increased storage capacity. With this in mind, CECOM G-6 Operations Division has developed virtual tutorials, known as “OneDrive Wednesdays.” Every Wednesday there will be two, hour-long sessions from 1000-1100 and 1400-1500.
