White Sands Missile Range holds Rancher’s Day

WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE, N.M. (September 14, 2022) White Sands Missile Range Commander, Brig. Gen. Eric Little hosted Rancher’s Day welcoming surrounding ranchers and landowners for a day.

The Ranchers visited the Navy’s Desert Ship, Launch Complex 33, and Special Operations Forces-Training and Experimentation Center (SOF-TEC). Lunch was served at the Frontier Club where Little started the lunch with opening remarks and White Sands Test Center Commander Col. Shawn Smart spoke to the group about WSMR’s testing schedule and plans.

The purpose of the visit was for the Ranchers to understand WSMR’s rocketry history, testing methods, and the progression of science and technology for the Department of Defense (DoD), and why their partnership is crucial to national security.
