Sentinels of Freedom is a life-changing organization providing "life scholarships" to wounded warriors. Mike Conklin has united the forces of individuals, local businesses and community groups to offer money, time, goods, services, transportation and housing to assist Vets with transitioning after leaving the hospital. In honor of their sacrifice and commitment honorees are named "Sentinels". Four year scholarships are provided to Sentinels to provide life changing opportunities for men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who have suffered severe injuries and need the support of grateful communities to realize their dreams. Wounded warriors seek their independence and become thriving members of their communities thanks to the many volunteers who make the Sentinels program a possibility.
