The Soldiers participated in a 60-hour Military Equal Opportunity Advisor course hosted by the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command at Joint-Base Langley-Eustis, Va. Aug. 8-12.

The training included open discussions and scenarios on how to accommodate Soldier's religious preferences and eliminate incidents of discrimination based on race, color, sex, religion, national origin and sexual orientation to provide an environment free of unlawful discrimination or discriminatory behavior to include hazing and bullying, Abdullah said.

"One of the main things I learned is how to advise the commander on what right looks like and how to communicate when Soldiers have concerns, issues or questions," Allen said.

"Every Soldier and civilian on our team deserves the opportunity to excel as far as his or her talents and determination to succeed will take them," Abdullah said.
