FORT KNOX, Ky. — Congressman Brett Guthrie, a U.S. Representative of Kentucky, visited Fort Knox July 22 to receive updates on the installation, Cadet Summer Training, V Corps and 1st Theater Sustainment Command.

While at the Central Kentucky Army installation, he witnessed ROTC cadets from 11th Regiment Advance Course conducting small arms qualification at Pells Range, and later sat down with some of the cadets for lunch. Guthrie is a 1987 graduate of U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York, and served as a field artillery officer with 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

He also met with Maj. Gen. Johnny Davis, commanding general of U.S. Army Cadet Command and Fort Knox, as well as leaders from V Corps and 1st Theater Sustainment Command, before departing.
