EL PASO, TEXAS (July 15, 2022) - Today was a great day to be a White Sands Missile Range Soldier at the University of Texas at El Paso. KTEP Radio Host Richard Dayoub interviewed Brig. Gen. Eric D. Little, U.S. Army White Sands Missile Range Commanding General, and Command Sgt. Maj. Jose Melendez, White Sands Missile Range Command Sergeant Major, about the vast installation north of El Paso, Texas.
To educate the El Paso community on White Sands Missile Range, the interviewees touched on topics such as the history and future of the installation. Melendez also explained to the audience what WSMR does as a part of the Army Test and Evaluation Command. Little provided a brief lesson on Cross-Functional Teams and Multidomain Operations.
Ultimately, all three had a great conversation on the importance of serving and contributing to our nation's defense. The interview also touched on the great employment opportunities that WSMR offers UTEP students and students from the surrounding area.
