
FORT KNOX, Ky. – The Fort Knox Installation Safety Office has set the dates for the remaining 2022 motorcycle certification classes and check rides.
The ISO hosts training courses for Soldiers and civilians varying from beginners to experienced riders in order for them to obtain and renew certifications required to operate a motorcycle on post. The dates for each are as follows:
- Basic Riders Course: June 27-28, July 11-12, Aug. 1-2, Aug. 8-9, and Aug. 15-16
- Advanced Riders Course: June 23, July 15, Aug. 12
- Intermediate Driver Training: June 23, July 1, July 8, Aug. 24
- Remedial Driver Training: June 29, Aug. 23
The motorcycle safety foundation Basic Riders Course is a two-day course that includes five hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of physical riding on the certified course.
Riders’ certification must be renewed every five years to remain current. All course enrollment is available online in the EAMS Portal, where riders can select their location by installation.
Additionally, riders are encouraged to participate in the installation safety check rides scheduled multiple times a year. The next check ride is set for July 22, where motorcyclists will be riding to Rough River Dam. The final check ride is projected to take place Sept. 9.
