FORT EUSTIS, Va. (August 7, 2009) -- The Fort Eustis Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation Center held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday to celebrate the center's new look.

The center is in the same location at Bldg. 671, Lee Blvd., but has a new look and more amenities for the Soldiers and familiy members of Eustis.

The new and improved facility now boasts a movie room with a 47" LCD television and Blu-Ray DVD player with surround sound. The center has some movies available, but guests are welcome to bring their own.

The center also a television lounge with a 52" LCD TV and cable that can seat about 30 people.

In the main area of the facility, there is a billards area with a 47" LCD TV, four billiards tables, an airhockey table, and a snack bar.

There is also a game room and five X-Box game stations.

The center is currently open Wednesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The hours will change in the future to better accomodate Soldiers' working hours.
