Thank you for attending the Successful Leadership Training Program. Leadership

and leader development is a top priority. This program focuses on building "agile and

adaptive" leaders for a complex word, who are committed to the Profession of Arms by

focusing on the four Essential Roles of Leadership (4ERL). These roles are essential

because as leaders consciously lead themselves and their teams in alignment with

these roles, they lay the foundation for effective leadership.

The four essential roles are: Inspire Trust. Be the credible leader others choose to

follow-one with both character and competence. Create Vision: Clearly define where

your team is going and how they are going to get there. Execute Strategy: Consistently

achieve results with and through others using disciplined processes. Coach Potential:

Unleash the ability of each person on your team to improve performance, solve

problems, and grow their careers.

We have piece of advice for you: Be ready to train when you report to the program

You must be mentally, physically, and morally fit to lead. During this short week,

intellectual leads to physical. Ensure you make all necessary preparations before you

leave your unit in order to focus on training and learning. Closed minds, an

unwillingness to change behavior, and poor preparation are obstacles to learning and

are detrimental to your development.

Once again congratulations on your selection, you are pioneers on this journey to

grow agile, adaptive, and innovative leaders who understand the Pacific, how their

actions affect strategic objectives and who foster a climate of dignity and respect.

"Sustain the Force!"
