The 842nd transportation Battalion held a rodeo to raise awareness of the Army's Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program at the Port of Beaumont April 19.
The battalion broke down into small groups and each group created a skit of a day-to-day scenario in terms of being in or outside the workplace and discussed the course of action someone needs to take to report and/or intervene during an incident according to Sgt. Bradin Giglio, movement noncommissioned officer in charge, 832nd Transportation Battalion.
The Army is committed to eliminating sexual assault, and to providing resources and compassionate response to victims. For more information about reporting a SHARP incident, please visit www.armyresilience.army.mil/sharp.
The 842nd Transportation Bn. is the gateway for the movement of military cargo through the Gulf Coast and represents the military’s lifeline in supporting the warfighter at home and abroad.
The battalion’s primary mission is to conduct surface deployment and distribution through terminals and facilities on the western Gulf Coast through its four strategic seaports (Beaumont, Port Arthur, Corpus Christi and Gulfport, Miss.) for overseas operations.
