JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va.— Over 132 people participated in the Fourth Annual SHARP Golf Tournament at the Pines Golf Club at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. April 14.

"It is important to support events like the 'Putt for Prevention' because it is the right thing to do," said Michael Almodovar, operations specialist, 597th Transportation Bde.

"Nothing is more detrimental to a team than a SHARP incident," said Maj. Christopher Fields, chief of operations, 597th Transportation Bde., "It can break the trust and comradery.

Almodovar and Fields were on a team with Richard Stark, retired Chief of Terminal Operations at Military Traffic Management Command (MTMC) and Michael Shaffer.

The team earned third place in the tournament after a deciding putt-putt tie breaker.

Capt. Claire Betterbed, 832nd Transportation Bn, won the longest drive competition.
