ASV delivery supports Colombian partner

By USASAC Public AffairsApril 12, 2022

Forty U.S. Army armored security vehicles (ASV) arrived in Colombia April 10, 2022 as part of an excess defense articles (EDA) grant through the U.S. Army's foreign military sales (FMS) program. This security assistance initiative is expected to strengthen Colombia's national security and its partnership with the United States. The Army Materiel Command's Security Assistance Enterprise includes USASAC, TACOM and other organizations that provide capabilities through security assistance and FMS. This supports regional and global operations, enables national territorial defense, and enhances interoperability and readiness — all of which allows the Army to compete and deter effectively.
