FORT KNOX, Ky. — The Fort Knox Transition Assistance Program (TAP) hosted an exclusive Executive TAP workshop March 8-11 for senior military leaders working their own transitions from service.

The four-day event brought together 13 program eligible E9s and O6s, who are navigating their own transitions to civilian life. Some military spouses also attended, gaining insight into the TAP process.

The Executive Tap curriculum consisted of required elements from the Department of Labor and Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as TAP internal curriculum.

A select group of recent and local retirees of similar grades also attended the workshop to share personal transitions stories, and generate discussions on resumes, job searches, and adapting to the civilian workplace. Officials from TAP said the forum was designed to encourage peer group conversations unique to senior leader transitions.

At the conclusion, many clients offered positive feedback and appreciation to TAP personnel, stating they felt more prepared to transition.
