Killer Katanas Roller Derby Team Now Recruiting
The Killer Katanas roller derby team is recruiting community members who are looking for a unique and action-packed activity. Women aged 18 and up at any skill level, as well as men interested in becoming officials, can join the practices, which are currently held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. at Arnn Elementary School on Sagamihara Family Housing Area. Fiscal Year 22 Unit Funds Available
The Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation recently announced that fiscal 2022 Unit Funds are now available. Those Unit Funds are an annual NAF distribution to Soldiers directly from revenue generated in DFMWR programs and can be used to benefit eligible units for off-duty recreational purposes. Actors Needed
The Base Climate Action Team is looking for amateur actors ages 18 and older to help produce a training video. Shooting will be held during the month of March and would require from half a day to two days, depending on the part. The team is looking for a variety of ages, genders and backgrounds; Department of the Army civilians, local-national employees, family members and Soldiers are all invited. DODEA Parent Discussion Planned
Parents of DODEA students are invited to participate in an upcoming Cognia accreditation engagement review for the Pacific East Division. The sessions will be held March 9 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.; from 12:30 to 1 p.m.; and from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Contact DODEA for more information.
Post Office Update
If you receive an email from AMPS.Mail@uspa.gov, you must re-verify your postal box information. You can either verify that information through the emailed link, or visit the Community Mail Room.
Camp Zama Pet Care Center Maintenance/Construction
The Camp Zama Pet Care Center will undergo a facility maintenance and construction project through May 2022. During this time, dog boarding will be limited. Dog grooming services, and cat boarding, will remain unaffected. Call the center at 263-5915, or 046-407-5915 from a cell, for more information.
No-Drone Zone
Please be reminded that no drone flights are allowed on U.S. Army Garrison facilities. That includes toy drones.
