FORT HUACHUCA, Ariz. – Col. Rob Barnhill, commander Electronic Proving Ground (EPG), presented Chris Sterner, logistics management specialist, with the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command Civilian of the Year Award Feb. 2 at Banister Hall.

During the year, Sterner matrixed tasks to provide logistical support for mission demands of equipment requirements while maintaining Material Readiness in 14 critical areas and 98% Fully Mission capable (FMC) readiness exceeding the Army Standards of 90%.

During his remarks, Sterner shared the importance of team work. “I could not have done this without the support and help from my team,” said Sterner. He asked Barnhill if they could recognize the individuals who helped him.

Barnhill gave EPG unit coins to Shana Thrasher and Juan Balderrama for their dedication to their work to help Sterner achieve the award. “Behind every great leader, is a great team to support,” said Barnhill. “A true leader recognizes that it cannot be done alone.”
