DUGWAY, UT-The sound of carols at the annual Winterfest tree lighting ceremony heralded in the holidays at Dugway Proving Ground. Residents on base lined up to catch a glimpse of Santa as he was escorted by the Dugway Fire Department to an area of base where kids could have a COVID-safe virtual visit with him.

The event kicked off the holiday season and spread holiday cheer throughout the instillation, including the headquarters building. Events like this are just one of many that residents can expect when living on Post.

The Garrison team from the U.S. Army Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) helped to put on the festivities. The services offered by MWR are an important part of life at Dugway. For more information on what MWR has available visit this link.
