FORT KNOX, Ky. — Fort Knox Middle High School senior Trianne Cooper will soon be trading in her Eagles talons for Tiger fangs.

With both parents flanking her and key Fort Knox school officials standing behind her in the media arts room Nov. 22, Cooper signed a letter of intent to play soccer for the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.

Cooper has attended Fort Knox Middle High School for the past two years but was able to play only one year with the girls’ soccer team due to COVID restrictions. Despite that, scouts with the university took notice, recently contacting her about joining the Pacific Tigers.

After graduating from Fort Knox next year, Cooper will attend the university in the fall of 2022 to play for the Tigers in NCAA Division I action. She said she has yet to decide on a major area of study.
