ANNISTON ARMY DEPOT, Anniston, Ala - Anniston Army Depot’s Christmas Cheer program is underway. This year, the depot will provide gifts for children at the Calhoun County Department of Human Resources.  These gifts will be distributed to the families by DHR case workers in time to be opened on Christmas.

Here’s where your generosity is requested. There are 185 children on the list and employees can give gifts up to $200.

Christmas Cheer, which begins Nov. 22 and ends Dec. 10, allows depot employees to sponsor children. If your organization, cost center, shop or office would like to sponsor a child (or children), you may drop off the gifts at Bldg. 221 on a date to be determined.

ANAD personnel WILL NOT wrap or box gifts and deliver them to DHR this year. DHR counselors will come to the depot on Dec. 15 and Dec. 16 and select gifts for their children.

DFMWR is in need of ANAD volunteers to accept the toys at Bldg. 221 and sort them. If you would like to volunteer or have additional questions, contact Alfonso Lewis at Ext. 7971 or  or Kimberly Smoot at Ext. 7046 or at the respective email addresses: alfonso.l.lewis.civ@mail.mil and kimberly.f.smoot.civ@army.mil
