Senior Commander's Holiday Message: Holiday season begins

By Vannessa JoseyNovember 18, 2021

Natick Teammates,

This time of year marks the beginning of the holiday season. In the coming days as we prepare for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and the Installation’s Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration, we must ensure we celebrate responsibility and safely.

This is the time when our thoughts turn to home and Family as we reflect on the past year. As you enjoy the holidays, I hope that it will be a time for gratitude, relaxation and renewal. Please give thanks to your Family and co-workers, and tell them how much you appreciate them.

Thanksgiving has been traditionally the most traveled weekend of the year. This year promises to keep that tradition with many people traveling to see friends and Family that they may not have seen in many months. While traveling, it is still very important to take steps to protect yourself and your Family from COVID-19 and influenza. Please remain vigilant so we can all be safer and healthier.

As we prepare for winter, check your heating systems, especially chimneys, to ensure your home is ready for the cold temperatures. Never use a gas or propane heater, in an enclosed, non-ventilated area, such as inside a house. If you are interested in using a space heater in your work space please contact the Garrison Safety Office for a Space Heater Request Form and to schedule an inspection prior to use.

I want to extend my deepest thanks and appreciation to all my Natick Teammates for your important contributions to our mission. Please enjoy the upcoming holidays and send my best wishes to your Family, team members and colleagues.

Army Safe is Army Strong!
