Tindoll, the 2020 IMCOM Stalwart Award to Raymond Wharton, director of Emergency Services at Fort Detrick for “extraordinary achievement, dedication and excellence, and inspirational team spirit from Jan. 2020 – December 2020.”

The awards ceremony took place virtually Nov. 17, 2021, recognizing professionals across the entirety of the Installation Management Command.

The highly selective Stalwart Award is given to a little over a dozen employees worldwide each year who distinguish themselves amongst their peers and leaders as outstanding IMCOM civilians and exceed the call of duty to achieve the Army and IMCOM objectives.

Tindoll spoke highly of Wharton during the awards ceremony highlighting Wharton’s excellence in leadership.

“Ray is truly one of my superstars. He is one individual that I turn to when I need subject expertise to help coach, teach and mentor other directors of emergency services and directors of operations across ID-S. He truly leads by example,” said Tindoll.

“He is a tremendous leader and an exceptional individual. He has dedicated his professional career to embodying the ideals and values of the Installation Management Command, and his achievements have truly been outstanding at Fort Detrick. I congratulate him and will continue to look at him as one of the stellar examples of what right looks like,” concluded Tindoll.
