Congratulations are in order for the Fort Detrick Commissary as it was recently name best Small Commissary and given the Richard M. Padget Award for Sales Bands 1-4. DeCa has 90 stores in bands 1-4.
On Nov. 9, 2021 installation leadership as well DeCa senior executives presented commissary employees with the award at the Commissary.
Dan Catalano, Manager of the Fort Detrick Commissary is thrilled about the award but wants everyone to know one thing.
“What’s important to convey to patrons is that they need to utilize the commissary to maintain the benefit. We are always here for you and have great items in stock. This was obvious during the peak of COVID. Patrons flocked to the commissary and we had more stock than the outside stores.
Each zone manager nominated one store per award category from their zone for consideration. Nominations based on qualities such as a friendly environment, a “well run” store, good work ethic, and sense of a cohesive team.
Congratulations Fort Detrick Commissary- Job Well Done.
