CAMP HENRY, Republic of Korea — USAG Daegu is adding state-of-the-art equipment and group exercise rooms at area fitness centers just months after unveiling extensive renovations at Camp Walker's Kelly Fitness Center. USAG Daegu is committed to being an assignment of choice by providing excellent quality of life support and programs for military communities.
Garrison additions include a multi-purpose fitness area and dance studio next to Kelly Fitness Center, a functional fitness room at Camp Carroll Fitness Center and renovations at Camp Henry's Wall Fitness Center. Work is scheduled to be completed by early to mid-2022.
The 10-month renovation process completed at Kelly Fitness Center earlier this year included outfitting the entire facility with new fitness equipment, adding a functional fitness area and major additions to the strength, cardio, boxing and group fitness rooms. The basketball court has been updated with new floors, a bleacher section and scoreboards. The project cost just half the original estimate.
The Army in South Korea and around the world continues to enhance its culture of fitness as part of efforts to support military communities that are physically active and healthy.
