Senior enlisted leaders, led by Command Sgt. Maj. Derrick C. Garner, command sergeant major, Maneuver Center of Excellence and Fort Benning, visited Harmony Church barracks facilities October 5.

“This is about what we can do to improve the lives of Soldiers living in the barracks,” said Garner.
The group toured the facilities with barracks managers and first line supervisors. Key installation directorates were onsite to answer questions about services offered to barracks residents.
“Better at Benning starts right here,” said Command Sgt. Maj. Brett W. Johnson, Fort Benning garrison command sergeant major. “Adopting new tools like ArMA (Army Maintenance App) are critical as we move towards the installation of the future.”

Barracks managers and residents were able to voice concerns about their facilities, and provide feedback on possible future improvements to services and procedures.
“As noncommissioned officers, we own it,” said Garner. “We are responsible for the welfare of our Soldiers.”
