Arts & Crafts Center Ceramics Workshops

Get crafty with the Arts & Crafts Center – they’re holding Halloween ceramic workshops all month long every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Paint and glaze your own spooky masterpiece. Fort Shafter Youth Center’s October Calendar

Howl-o-Ween Pet Costume Contest – October

The Exchange is holding a pet costume contest all month long. Enter your photo anytime during the month (submissions must be made by Oct. 31). Winners will be announced around Nov. 5. Visit https://www.army.mil/article/250967 for more information.

Island Palm Communities Community Center Activities

Island Palm Communities have a variety of activities, events and contests planned for residents this month! Planned events are listed below – if your community isn’t listed, reach out to your community center to find out what they have in the works:

  • Santa Fe/Kaena Community Center: Offering residents the change to win a gift basket or treats for your furry friend. Challenge 1 is to share a picture of your most creative carved or decorated pumpkin. Challenge 2 is to celebrate HOWLoween by sharing a picture of your pet in costume. Submissions must be sent via email by Oct. 27 to kaena@ipchawaii.com with your address, last name and contact phone number.
  • Canby Community Center: Will be handing out goodie bags Oct. 28 from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
  • Porter Community Center: Will hold a Trunk-or-Treat for community residents Oct. 29, 4-6 p.m.

Waimanalo Country Farms

Waimanalo Country Farms is holding a drive-through pumpkin patch and sunflower field, Tuesday-Sunday through Nov. 2 (pending sunflower bloom). First car in at 9 a.m., last car in at 4 p.m. each day. Haunted Trolley – Weekends in October

Dead End – The Apocalypse Drive Through

The drive-through haunted house at Aloha Stadium is back again this year. Tickets available online at www.oahuhauntedhouse.com. The haunted house is open every Thursday-Sunday until Halloween. Cost is $65 per car on Thursday and Sunday, and $75 on Friday and Saturday.

USO Pumpkin Carving, Oct. 14

Bring your ghostly bodies to Fort Shafter USO for a pumpkin carving bash, Oct. 14! The USO will provide the carving tools. Royal Hawaiian Center Costume Contest – Enter by Oct. 23

Waikiki’s largest Halloween costume contest is back again this year. Open to keiki from infants to age 10 and their parents. Upload photos or videos showcasing your child’s creativity, originality
