Annual Fort Knox Oktoberfest celebration at Brooks Field Sept. 17

FORT KNOX, Ky. – The general public is invited to attend the Fort Knox Oktoberfest celebration at Brooks Parade Field from 5 to 10 p.m. Sept. 17.

The event is free and will include live music from the Schnickelfritz Band, German-inspired cuisine, cash bar and bounce houses for children.

Attendees ages 18 and older are welcome to participate in a cornhole tournament, which will begin at 6 p.m. The cost is $10 per person or $20 per team. Registration will be open at the event between 5 and 5:50 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners.

Visitors who do not have a military ID will be required to obtain a pass at the Fort Knox Visitor Center located at the main Chaffee Gate, or visit https://visit.gvt.us/steps/branch_selection prior to arrival to request a five-day fast pass.

Pets, coolers and outside food or beverages are not permitted.
