FORT SILL, Oklahoma (Aug. 11, 2021) – The command leadership team of the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, Louisiana, visited Aug. 10 to present career development opportunities to air defense artillery and field artillery Soldiers.
Brig. Gen. David Doyle, JRTC and Fort Polk commanding general, met with Captains Career Course and Basic Officer Leader Course students in the two artillery branches. Doyle’s senior enlisted adviser, Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Henry talked with Senior, Advanced, and Basic Leader courses Soldiers about what Fort Polk had to offer.
In as much as the duo talked about Fort Polk's vital mission of training Soldiers for large-scale combat operations, they also highlighted the Louisiana post's quality of life matters such as medical, educational, and child care options.
