“It’s been phenomenal!” exclaimed director of religious education Dr. William Townsend. “We asked for feedback every day, and it’s been very positive. I would say it’s been a huge success.”

This year's theme was "treasured" and included activity stations dedicated to Bible adventures, games, and visits from Indiana Jones -- portrayed by retired Army Sgt. Ron Masoni. Townsend explained the theme was chosen in hopes of showing military children they’re treasured and priceless.

“The hope is that they see that there is fun and joy taking part in a spiritual context,” said Townsend.

Senior Garrison Chaplain (Col.) Ed Hamlin praised the many people who gave up their time to make the event a success.

“This is mostly volunteer run, and we could not do this without them,” said Hamlin. “If you look at the work that’s gone into the rooms and how they’re decorated, organizing the snacks, registration, getting people where they need to be while also keeping the kids safe; it’s a heavy lift.”
