Public invited to Aug. 3 Fort Knox, Cadet Command change of command ceremony

FORT KNOX, Ky. — Major Gen. John Evans Jr. will relinquish command of U.S. Army Cadet Command and the installation to Brig. Gen. Johnny Davis at Brooks Parade Field here Aug. 3, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Evans has served as the senior commander since May 11, 2018. Davis comes to Fort Knox after serving as the chief of staff at U.S. Army Futures Command.

The general public is welcomed and encouraged to attend to welcome Davis to the greater Fort Knox community and bid farewell to Evans and his Family. For those who can’t attend in person, the ceremony will be streamed live on the Fort Knox Facebook page HERE.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will occur in Fort Knox’s Waybur Theater.
